I am presenting three hypotheses in this article: First, the Illuminati consistently engage in rituals of a certain aesthetic that frequently involve a combination of sex, violence and /or drugs. Second, they intentionally depict these rituals in the media. Third, they depict these rituals in the media as a way of proselytizing their religion.
I need to make my intentions clear before I go further. Academics are my target audience for this article, particularly scientists and professors who specialize in the arts, humanities and social sciences. There is already an extensive online literature that covers much of the information I am presenting in this article. This article differs from that literature in that this is a serious academic inquiry into an observed social phenomenon, whereas the existing literature is targeted more towards informing/persuading general audiences.
As a disclaimer, this article is not only attempting to establish that a group of people are engaging in a consistent pattern of behavior, but it is attempting to assign an intention to this pattern of behavior. This is difficult to prove in an academic sense as I do not know of any methodologies in the social sciences that allow one to prove such hypotheses (more on this below).
A further problem is that many academic debates occur in printed journals that allow a limited number of figures. I do not think this is an ideal medium for establishing the existence of a pattern of behavior. Humans are social creatures, and as such much of their communication involves body language, facial expressions, tone of voice, etc. These components of a pattern of behavior are difficult to record in an academic journal.
Hence, as an alternative to relying strictly on the written word coupled with a limited number of images to validate my hypotheses, I have created a video that contains a compilation of the pattern of behavior I am describing. This article will elaborate on the video footage and make the argument for why they are Illuminati rituals.
Note that this video got removed from YouTube for copyright reasons.
Clarifying my Hypotheses
- The Illuminati consistently engage in a pattern of behavior whereby they perform rituals of a certain aesthetic that frequently involves a combination of sex, violence and/or drugs.
- The Illuminati intentionally depict these rituals in the media.
- The Illuminati depict these rituals in the media as a means of proselytizing their religion.
Note that my first hypothesis contains a degree of subjectivity, i.e. that Illuminati rituals have a recognizable aesthetic. This could lead one to reasonably conclude that my hypothesis is unfalsifiable, thus qualifying it as pseudoscientific according to the standard set by the 20th century philosopher of science Karl Popper. This being said, I do not consider it to be pseudoscientific.
As it stands today, there is no methodology in the social sciences (not that I know of at least) that allows one to objectively determine whether or not a pattern of behavior (i.e. Illuminati rituals) conforms to a particular aesthetic. Conceivably such a methodology could potentially exist in the future, in which case my hypothesis would become falsifiable and thus scientific. Unfortunately it is outside the scope of this article to create such a methodology and/or review the social science literature to determine whether one already exists.
My second hypothesis is based on the assumption that my first hypothesis is validated. Being that the first one is unprovable within the confines of this article, it stands that the second hypothesis is unprovable as well. Likewise, the third hypothesis is based on the validity of the second hypothesis, making it unprovable as well.
In addition, the second and third hypotheses contain a degree of subjectivity in that they assign an intention to a group of people. Like the first hypothesis, I do not know of a methodology in the social sciences that allows one to objectively determine the intentions behind a pattern of observed human behavior. That being said, I can conceive of such a methodology existing in the future (or in the present against my knowledge).
Despite the fact that my hypotheses are currently unfalsifiable, I have proposed of a methodology existing in the future that would allow them to become falsifiable. As such, rather than classifying my hypotheses as pseudoscientific, I think it is more appropriate to classify them as protoscientific.
- The Illuminati consistently engage in a pattern of behavior whereby they perform rituals of a certain aesthetic that frequently involves a combination of sex, violence and/or drugs.
As I have explained in the past, there are three different definitions that I assign to the word “Illuminati.” For the purposes of this article, I am using the first definition which is that the Illuminati are a loosely organized religion. However, the evidence presented in this video does suggest that the Illuminati exist according to the second and third definitions as well; with the second definition arguing that “an Illuminati” constitutes a leader(s) who is privy to occult knowledge that he is not sharing with his followers. The third definition is that there “the Illuminati” constitutes a leader(s) who secretly rules the world in addition to being privy to occult knowledge that he is not sharing with his followers.
My video showed that Illuminati rituals consistently share a common aesthetic which has some of the following characteristics:
- Ritual members maintain their anonymity via carnival/animal masks and/or hooded robes. The robes are white, black or red.
- Ritual members follow choreographed movements.
- Occult symbols are present.
- The rituals contain a combination of drugs, sex and/or violence, along with an overall sense of debauchery/degeneracy.
There are numerous reported instances from reliable publications claiming that such rituals occur.
The psychiatrist Colin A. Ross is an authority on people who have participated in Illuminati rituals. Note that Ross tends to take the position that people who participate in such rituals are oftentimes the victims of a form of abuse that he and many in the psychiatric community commonly refer to as “Satanic ritual abuse” or “SRA” for short. Ross obtained his M.D. from the University of Manitoba in 1985. His specialization is in dissociation and trauma related disorders. He has authored 29 books and over 200 professional papers.
Ross’ 1995 book Satanic Ritual Abuse: Principles of Treatment (Ross, 1995) is the most comprehensive and credible analysis of SRA in the academic literature that I am aware. He wrote the book after concluding that enough of his psychiatric patients had suffered from SRA to warrant reporting it to the psychiatric community.
Ross claims to have treated approximately 300 alleged SRA victims, though by his admission he did not have the resources to determine what percentage of his patients were true victims. Ross not only presented a criteria for diagnosing SRA victims, but he also proposed a method of treatment as well. Ross made the following observations about SRA victims:
Ritual abuse patients talk about and are preoccupied with calendar dates in a way that non-ritual cases never do: even when non-ritual cases have extensive exposure to their Satanic ritual abuse peers on inpatient units and in group therapy, they are not contaminated by this preoccupation, at least in my clinical experience…
…The dates which cause patients the most trouble on our unit, terms of increased anxiety and agitation, are 21 December, 2 February, Easter, 21 June, and 7 September. This is interesting because, until I did the necessary background reading and accumulated sufficient clinical experience, I was unaware of the ritual significance of these dates. The date 21 December is particularly difficult on an in-patient unit because it is retraumatizing for survivors on non-Satanic ritual abuse as well, including those abused within deviant secret societies and New Age cults.
The solstice dates are easy to account for, as is Easter, since it is a key time to invert and mock Christianity; 2 February is Satanic Revels and 7 September is the Marriage to the Beast of Satan. Other significant dates include 30 April, Walpurgisnacht; 25 February, St Walpurgis Day; and 1 August, Lammas Day…
…On an in-patient unit there may be an observable groundswell of agitation, acting-out, insomnia, and cutting for a period of time before key Satanic holidays. Specific dates are significant in another way unique to ritually abused cases: they are programmed suicide dates…
…Ritual abuse survivors also mutilate themselves in ways that are never seen in non-ritual cases. They carve obvious Satanic symbols on themselves that could easily be explained by contamination and hysteria, such as pentagrams, the Seal of Solomon, inverted crosses, and words such as ‘Hell,’ Die,’ and ‘Satan.’ However, more subtle forms of self-mutilation are also common and are done under fine control, and with draughtsman’s precision. These may be placed carefully on specific body sites of no obvious significance, and may involve sets of straight lines, usually but not always in threes and sixes, or geometrical shapes, or other designs that are not stereotypically Satanic…
…The content of the drawings of Satanic ritual abuse survivors is also characteristic. Like the cutting, which is done on a canvas of skin, the drawings often contain obvious Satanic symbols, such as pentagrams and inverted crosses, and also pictorial narrative accounts of groups of hooded figures sexually abusing girls and killing babies with sacrificial daggers. Snakes, spiders, children in cages that look like the bamboo prisoner cages from Vietnam war movies, altars, daggers, goblets, skulls, individual candles and candles in sets of six are common. Circles, triangles, wavey lines, lightning bolts, or other icons often appear in groups of six, seven, nine, or thirteen.
Red and black feature prominently in the drawings, and there is usually a copious amount of blood depicted. Disembodied eyes that look like the Masonic eye on the U.S. dollar bill are also common…
…I will close this chapter by briefly describing the Satanic ritual abuse activities reported by survivors of multigenerational orthodox cults. They largely conform to public stereotypes of Satanism. Survivors report ceremonies and rituals involving intercourse on altars; chanting; wearing of robes; use of black, white, or red candles; ceremonial cutting with daggers; ritual murder with cannibalism of the heart and other organs; pentagrams; collection of blood, urine, and semen in goblets for group drinking; elaborate preparations of the survivor before the rituals; and murder of victims at the point of orgasm. There is usually a high priest who wears distinct garb and is clearly in command.
The Franklin scandal was an incident from the early 90’s that offers some potential insight on Illuminati rituals. The scandal originally centered around the Franklin credit union in Omaha Nebraska which was under investigation for financial crimes. The scandal soon snowballed beyond the credit union when its manager, Larry King, was accused of being involved in human trafficking, especially that involving children. In addition to prostitution, King was alleged to have trafficked the children for use in Satanic rituals. This controversy was exacerbated by the fact that King was a power-broker on the national level with many key political connections.
For better or worse, lawyer John DeCamp (who was a republican state senator in Nebraska during the time of the scandal) has become the de facto figurehead of the movement to expose the Franklin scandal. DeCamp’s 1992 book The Franklin Cover-Up: Child Abuse, Satanism, and Murder in Nebraska (DeCamp, 1992) documents much of the information he claims to have uncovered while trying to expose the Franklin scandal. The following quote from his book is from Paul Bonacci, one of the key witnesses during the scandal. Bonacci, who claims to have been one of the children who was trafficked by King, describes a Satanic ritual he was forced to participate in while a child:
I went in January of ’84 on every trip. I was paid by men King knew for sex. In the summer of ’84 sometime I went to Dallas Texas and had sex with several men King knew in a hotel.
I flew on YNR Airlines and Kam Airlines normally for King. I never had much personally to do with King, only went where he told me to go.
In or on July 26th I went to Sacramento, Ca. King flew me out on a private plane from Eppley Airfield [in Omaha] to Denver where we picked up Nicholas, a boy who was about 12 or 13. Then we flew to Las Vegas to a desert strip and drove in to Las Vegas and to some ranch and got something. Then flew on to Sacramento.
We were picked up by a white limo and taken to a hotel. I don’t remember the name of it. We meaning Nicholas and I were driven to a area that had big trees, it took about an hour to get there. There was a cage with a boy in it who was not wearing anything. Nicholas and I were given these tarzan things to put around us and stuff.
They told me to f— the boy and stuff. At first I said no and they held a gun to my balls and said do it or else lose them or something like that. I began doing it to the boy and stuff. And Nicholas had anal sex and stuff with him. We were told to f— him and stuff and beat on him. I didn’t try to hurt him. We were told to put our d—s in his mouth and stuff and sit on the boys penis and stuff and they filmed it. We did this stuff to the boy for about 30 minutes or an hour when a man came in and kicked us and stuff in the balls and picked us up and threw us. He grabbed the boy and started f—ing him and stuff. The man was about 10 inches long and the boy screamed and stuff and the man was forcing his d— into the boy all the way. The boy was bleeding from his rectum and the men tossed him and me and stuff and put the boy right next to me and grabbed a gun and blew the boys head off.
The boys blood was all over me and I started yelling and crying. The men grabbed Nicholas and I and forced us to lie down. They put the boy on top of Nicholas who was crying and they were putting Nicholas hands on the boys ass. They put the boy on top of me and did the same thing. They then forced me to f— the dead boy up his ass and also Nicholas they put a gun to our heads to make us do it. His blood was all over us. They made us kiss the boys lips and to eat him out. Then they made me do something I don’t want to even write so I won’t.
After that the men grabbed Nicholas and drug him off screaming they put me up against a tree and put a gun to my head but fired into the air. I heard another shot from somewhere. I then saw the man who killed the boy drag him like a toy. Everything including when the men put the boy in a trunk was filmed. They took me with them and we went up in a plane. I saw the bag the boy was in. We went over a very thick brush area with a clearing in it. Over the clearing they dropped the boy. One said the men with the hoods would take care of the body for them.
I didn’t see Nicholas until that night at the hotel. He and I hugged and held each other for a long while. About two hours later the men or Larry King came in and told us to go take a shower since we had only been hosed off at some guys house. We took a shower together and then were told to put on the tarzan things. After we were cleaned up and dressed in these things we were told to put on shorts, socks and a shirt and shoes and riven to a house where the men were at with some others. They had the film and they played it. As the men watched they passed Nicholas and I around as if we were toys and sexually abused us.
They made Nicholas and I screw each other and one of the men put the dead boy’s penis in mine and Nicholas’ mouth. I didn’t want to write this because the man forced me to bite the boys’ penis and balls off. It was gross and I saw the film where it happened and started freaking out remembering what they made us do afterwards to the boy. They showed us doing everything to the boy. I was there for about 5 days attending parties but only recall cutting my wrist which is why I stayed two days in a hospital under a name I can’t recall. Some guy paid for me.
In other testimony, Bonacci said that Larry King was smiling and laughing the whole time the film was being shown, and that “the men with the hoods” were a Satanic group which planned to use the dead boy in some sort of ceremony. He also named the director of the snuff film, whom they had picked up in Las Vegas, as “Hunter Thompson.”
Several English sex cults were busted in the early 2010’s for sexually abusing their members (allegedly including children) in a manner consistent with the aesthetic that I have described for Illuminati rituals.
The first such cult was led by a man named Colin Batley, who was jailed in 2011 (BBC, 2011) with a recommended minimum sentence of 11 years for sexually abusing his members, oftentimes in a ritualistic manner. The rituals were described as having the following characteristics according to a Guardian article (Morris, 2011) (note that they were based on the teachings of Aleister Crowley, someone I have described in the past as being the most influential Illuminati prophet of the past century):
The cult is said to have been inspired by Aleister Crowley, the late mystic and magician nicknamed the Great Beast who in 1904 published a text called the Book of the Law extolling permissive sex.
During the five-week trial the prosecution claimed “the book” formed the basis for Batley’s organisation and he would read from a laminated copy of it while dressed in hooded robes at the start of orgies…
…A woman claimed she joined the cult after Batley told her an assassin would kill her if she did not take part in an initiation ceremony that began with a lecture on the occult and ended with a sexual assault.
One of Batley’s alleged victims, Annabelle Forest, claims in her 2014 memoir The Devil on the Doorstep: My Escape from a Satanic Sex Cult (Forest, 2014) that she was forced into prostitution by Batley and forced to have sex with nearly 2,000 men by the time she was 18. According to a Daily Mail article (Smith, 2014):
A 2011 trial at Swansea Crown Court heard how Batley, who was married at the time and lived on the same street in a different house, wore hooded robes and chanted before having group sex with the women and children.
Snakes would be kept near an ‘altar’ in his lounge where residents on the quiet cul-de-sac would congregate on Sunday evenings…
…In her recently released memoir, Annabelle reveals she had slept with almost 2,000 men by her 18th birthday after being forced in to prostitution to raise money for the cult’s ‘church’.
The couple’s twisted ideology was based on the Book of the Law by Aleister Crowley, and made children believe they were proving themselves to god by having sex with other members, all the while egged on by Batley, now 48.
A pedophile ring resembling Batley’s sex cult was busted in 2012. Two of the more influential members, Peter Petrauske and Jack Kemp, were sentenced to 18 and 14 years in prison, respectively. According to the Daily Mail (Gye, 2012), they were part of a larger pedophile ring whose activity spanned back to the 1970’s. Another article from the Daily Mail (Salkeld, 2012) describes the abuse as being conducted in a manner resembling the aesthetic of Illuminati rituals:
Two men belonging to a ‘witches’ coven’ wore ceremonial robes and used daggers as part of ritualistic sex abuse on young girls, a court has heard…
…Victims claimed they were plied with alcohol before being made to undress in front of a crowd of men wearing robes…
…Prosecutor Jason Beal said some of the assaults took the form of rituals, with the victims being made to strip before having their wrists tied.
One victim told police of naked children being forced to dance around ‘like models’ for the adults who were all dressed in robes.
She claimed she was tied to a chair and blindfolded, and on another occasion her wrists were bound and a ceremonial dagger was drawn over her body.
2nd and 3rd Hypotheses
- The Illuminati intentionally depict these rituals in the media.
- The Illuminati depict these rituals in the media as a means of proselytizing their religion.
My video was an attempt to demonstrate that the Illuminati rituals depicted in the media are too specific and consistent to be regarded as a coincidence (thus lending validation to my 2nd hypothesis). Furthermore, they conform to the aesthetic that was described by people such as Ross, DeCamp and Bonacci, as well as the victims of people such as Batley, Petrauske and Kemp. However, if that was not convincing enough, I will use the next section to explain in further detail why I consider them to be Illuminati rituals. Further explanation may be necessary, as many people may not be aware of the presence and meaning of the occult symbols displayed in these rituals.
As for my 3rd hypothesis, I have found several articles from the occult literature that offer some insight into what motivates the Illuminati to put their rituals in the media. At this point I will specify what I mean when I refer to “occult literature.”
Occult literature is not like that of other religions. The Illuminati are secretive and usually avoid public exposure. The statements they do make to the public are oftentimes lies, or at best, half-truths. That being said, there are always members of the Illuminati who decide to reveal their secrets to the public, for a variety of reasons. Learning to distinguish the truth from the lies and half-truths takes practice, but it is something I think the average person is capable of doing, provided they are willing to put in the necessary practice.
One book that I consider to be a particularly truthful account of the Illuminati’s beliefs is Book of Lies: The Disinformation Guide to Magick and the Occult (Metzger, 2014). I acknowledge the contradiction in regarding a book with such a title as a truthful source about the Illuminati, but in my experience this is the extent of truthfulness that you can expect from the Illuminati. The book, which presents a collection of articles from the occult literature, gives the reader a good feel of the culture of the Illuminati.
The first article, Pop Magic!, is written by Grant Morrison, a man who is famous for being a comic book writer for DC comics, and to a lesser extent for his writings on the occult. This article begins by explaining that the theological justification for the occult (what he refers to as magic) is not to derive any objective meaning from reality, but to achieve results:
Aleister Crowley-magic’s Picasso-wrote this and I can’t say it any better than he did:
“In this book it is spoken of the sephiroth and the paths, of spirits and conjurations, of gods, spheres, and planes and many other things which may or may not exist. It is immaterial whether they exist or not. By doing certain things, certain results follow; students are most earnestly warned against attributing objective reality or philosophical validity to any of them.”
He then goes on to describe what he calls “magical consciousness,” which is a state of mind wherein a person is interacting with the world in a manner consistent with that of their true will:
Magical consciousness is a particular way of seeing and interacting with the real world. I experience it as what I can only describe as a “head-click,” a feeling of absolute certainty accompanying a perceptual shift which gives real world transactions the numinous, uncanny feeling of dreams. Magical consciousness is a way of experiencing and participating with the local environment in a heightened, significant manner, similar to the effects of some drug trips, Salvador Dali’s “Paranoiac/critical” method, near death experiences, etc. Many apparently precognitive and telepathic latencies become more active during periods of magical consciousness. This is the state in which tea leaves are read, curses are cast, goals are scored, poems are written.
Magical Consciousness can be practiced until it merges with and becomes everyday consciousness. Maintained at these levels it could interfere with your lifestyle unless you have one which supports long periods of richly associative thought.
As a side note, this is similar to the guiding dictum that Crowley implored upon his followers: “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law”-meaning that people should interact with the world in a way that is consistent with the will of their true natures. Crowley originally presented this dictum in his 1904 book The Book of the Law (Crowley, The Book of the Law, 1904), a book which has since gone on to become a Bible of sorts for modern-day Illuminati.
Back to Morrison’s article, he describes the process of creating sigils, which he claims are one of the most potent means the Illuminati have of changing the world in a manner that conforms with a magician’s true will. He describes sigils as magically charged symbols that magicians create with the intention of causing the world to change in a specific manner:
In the Pop Magic! style, the sigil (sij-ill) is the first and one of the most effective of all the weapons in the arsenal of any modern magician…
…The sigil takes a magical desire or intent-let’s say “IT IS MY DESIRE TO BE A GREAT ACTOR” (you can, of course, put any desire you want in there) and folds it down, creating a highly-charged symbol. The desire is then forgotten. Only the symbol remains and can then be charged to full potency when the magician chooses…
…I usually sigilize to meet people I’m interested in, or for particular qualities I’ll need in a given situation. I’ve also used sigils for healing, for locating lost objects and for mass global change. I’ve been using them for 20 years and they ALWAYS work.
For me, the period between launching the sigil and its manifestation as a real world event is usually 3 days, 3 weeks or 3 months depending on the variables involved.
I repeat: sigils ALWAYS work.
The next part is where the article gets interesting (and relevant to this discussion). Morrison describes what he calls “viral sigils,” which are known by mainstream society as “brands” or “logos.” He makes the claim that corporate logos are actually sigils, implying that mainstream society is already using magic whether they realize it or not:
The viral sigil also known as the BRAND or LOGO is not of recent development (see “Christianity,” “the Nazis” and any flag of any nation) but has become an inescapable global phenomenon in recent years. It’s easy to see the Nazi movement as the last gasp of Imperial Age thinking; these visionary savages still thought world domination meant tramping over the “enemy” and seizing his real estate. If only they’d had the foresight to see that global domination has nothing to with turf and everything to do with the media they would have anticipated corporate stealth-violence methods and combined them with their undoubted design sense; the rejected artists who engineered the Third Reich might have created the 20th century’s first global superbrand and spared the lives of many potential customers. The McDonald’s Golden Arches, the Nike swoosh and the Virgin autograph are all corporate viral sigils.
Morrison then introduces the concept of what he calls the “hypersigil,” which is a sigil that takes the form of a concept more abstract than a logo, such as a narrative. This is particularly relevant to this discussion as the Illuminati rituals depicted in the media could potentially qualify as a hypersigil:
The “hypersigil” or “supersigil” develops the sigil concept beyond the static image and incorporates elements such as characterization, drama and plot. The hypersigil is a sigil extended through the fourth dimension. My own comic book series The Invisibles was a six-year long sigil in the form of an occult adventure story which consumed and recreated my life during the period of its composition and execution. The hypersigil is an immensely powerful and sometimes dangerous method for actually altering reality in according with intent. Results can be remarkable and shocking.
Morrison ends by providing the ideological justification for using sigils in this manner. Overall, I consider it to be a good representation of the Illuminati’s ideological motivations as they are commonly expressed in occult literature. Essentially, the Illuminati believe that they are practicing the true religion and that a vague entity which they call “the establishment” is abusing their religion for malevolent reasons. So the Illuminati see themselves as freedom fighters who are using the media to conduct magical warfare in an attempt to liberate humanity from the corrupt establishment:
Becoming a magician is in itself a revolutionary act with far-reaching consequences. Before you set out to destroy “the System,” however, first remember that we made it and in our own interests. We sustain it constantly, either in agreement, with our support, or in opposition with out dissent. The opponents of the System are as much a function of the System as its defenders. The System is a ghost assembled in the minds of human beings operating within “the System.” It is a virtual parent we made to look after us. We made it very big and difficult to see in its entirety and we serve it and nourish it every day. Are there ever any years when no doctors or policemen are born? Why do artists rarely want to become policemen?
For every McDonald’s you blow up, “they” will build two. Instead of slapping a wad of Semtex between the Happy meals and the plastic tray, work your way up through the ranks, take over the board of Directors and turn the company into an international laughing stock. You will learn a great deal about magic on the way. Then move on to take out Disney, Nintendo, anyone you fancy. What if “The System
isn’t our enemy after all? What if instead it’s our playground? The natural environments into which we pop magicians are born? Our jungle, ocean and ice floe…to bargain with and dance around and transform, as best we can, into poetry?
What if, indeed?
The second article from Book of Lies, Media Hex: The Occult Assault on Institutions, was published in 1985 by anarchist Peter Lamborn Wilson who wrote the article under the pseudonym Hakim Bey. The article expresses the same overall agenda as Morrison’s, which is that the corrupt establishment needs to be overthrown by using the media to conduct a magical war on the minds of the general public:
But wait! First: who is “The Enemy”? It’s all very well to mutter about conspiracies of the Establishment or the networks of psychic control. We’re talking about real-time direct actions which must be carried out “against” identifiable nodes of real-time power. Discussion of abstract enemies such as “the state” will get us nowhere. I am not oppressed (or alienated) directly by any concrete entity called the state, but by specific groups such as teachers, police, bosses, etc…
…In the past the alienating medium was the church and the insurrection was expressed in the language of heretical spirituality vs. organized religion. Now the Media plays the role of the Church in the circulation of images. As the Church once concocted a false scarcity of sanctity or salvation, so the Media constructs a false scarcity of values, or “meaning.” As the Church once tried to impose its monopoly on the spirit, the Media wants to re-make language itself as pure mind, divorced from the body. The media denies meaning to corporeality, to everyday life, just as the Church once defined the body as evil and everyday life as sin. The Media defines itself, or its discourse, as the real universe…Just so did religion define the world as illusion and heaven only as real-real, but so far away. If insurrection once spoke to the Church as heresy, so it must speak now to the Media. Once, the revolting peasants burned churches. But what exactly are the churches of the Media?
…The “magical assault” however still holds promise as a tactic against this new church and “new inquisition”-precisely because the Media, like the church, does its work through “magic,” the manipulation of images. In fact our biggest problem in assaulting the Media will be to invent a tactic which cannot be recuperated by Babylon and turned to its own power-advantage. A breathless “live news” report that CBS had been attacked by radical sorcerers would simply become part of the “spectacle of dissidence,” the sub-Manichean drama of the discourse of simulation. The best tactical defense against this co-optation will be the subtle complexity and aesthetic depth of our symbolism, which must contain fractal dimensions untranslatable into the flat image-language of the tube. Even if “they” try to appropriate our imagery, in other words, it will carry an unexpected “viral” subtext which will infect all attempts at recuperation with a nauseating malaise of uncertainty-a “poetic terror.”
…Actually what I’ve called “direct action” here might better be known as indirect action, symbolic, viral, occult and subtle rather than actual, wounding, militant, and open. If we and our natural allies enjoy even a little success, however, the superstructure may eventually lose so much coherence and assurance that its power will start to slip as well…One day the colossus may tremble and teeter, like an old statue of Stalin in some provincial town square. And on that day perhaps a TV station will be blown up and will stay blown up. Until then:-one, ten, a thousand occult assaults on the institutions.
Keep in mind that this is only a brief overview of the methods and ideological justification the Illuminati use to proselytize their religion. The occult literature is extensive and much of it is not readily available via traditional avenues. In short, I do not have the resources to conduct a thorough and proper literature review of the occult, which is why I am trying to enlist the help of academics on this subject.
Anyway, I will now elaborate on why I consider the source material from the video to be depictions of Illuminati rituals.
Eyes Wide Shut (1999)
Stanley Kubrick’s 1999 film Eyes Wide Shut has been discussed to exhaustion within the conspiracy theory community. Common conspiracy folklore dictates that Kubrick made this movie as a way of subtly warning mainstream audiences about the influence the Illuminati have on the upper echelons of society. Whether or not that is actually true is another topic of discussion, but if you are interested in exploring this viewpoint, a blogger known as The Vigilant Citizen wrote an article ((Citizen, The Hidden (And Not So Hidden) Messages in Stanley Kubrick’s “Eyes Wide Shut”, 2013) that is the best representation of this argument.
The famous orgy scene from Eyes Wide Shut fits the aesthetic that I have described for Illuminati rituals. The members conceal their identities by wearing carnival masks and black/red hooded robes, they follow choreographed movements, occult symbols are present, and the ritual features drugs, sex and violence (it is revealed later in the movie that one of the prostitutes participating in the ritual is murdered after she overdoses on drugs).
Much of this symbolism is consistent with that described in occult literature. The first is that the red robed member, who appears to act as the director of the ritual, is sitting on a chair showing a double-headed eagle. The double-headed eagle is a common Freemasonic image, as seen here on the cover of Albert Pike’s 1872 book Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Rite of Scottish Freemasonry (Pike, 1872) (commonly called “Morals and Dogma” for short). Pike, who was a 33rd degree Freemason (the highest rank in Freemasonry), was an influential Freemason whose book is famous for revealing many of the secrets of Freemasonry.
Typically Freemasons will adamantly deny that they are a religion, or that they have anything to do with a larger religious movement. Instead they will claim that they are simply a fraternal organization that utilizes secret rituals as a way of forging bonds between its members. Even this is difficult to definitively prove due to the fragmented organization of Freemasonry. But if you visit the websites for Freemasonic lodges, you will see that this is typically the narrative they provide to the public (example 1, 2, 3, 4, 5).
This narrative is fairly easy to debunk by reading an introductory book on the occult, in this case the 2011 book The Book of Secrets (Pineda, 2011) by Daniel Pineda. There is nothing particularly special about the Pineda’s book; the information he shares can be more or less substantiated by any introductory book on the occult. Pineda explains the meaning behind much of the symbolism commonly used by the Illuminati. In fact, he even lists the Masonic square and compass (a symbol synonymous with Freemasonry that is commonly displayed on the outside of Masonic lodges) as an occult symbol with the following meaning:
The Masonic G is normally displayed within a square and compasses, and it is said to stand for Geometry, God, and the Great Architect. Its shape suggests the swirling growth of life, spiraling outward from a central point. Many have taken this feature of the G to be symbolic of the Fibonacci sequence, a mathematical procession of numbers marking growth and development along logical, predictable lines.
In addition, Pineda specifically refers to Pike as one of the “Magi of the Occult Revival” from the 19th century:
Albert Pike was an American soldier, poet, author, lawyer, and Freemason. His magnum opus, Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, has been a continual source of esoteric wisdom, controversy, and Masonic lore since its publication in 1871.
Going back to Eyes Wide Shut, Pineda also explains that the Illuminati wear robes during their rituals:
Magicians’ robes represent their skin, the outer manifestation of their innermost purpose. The color of each magician’s robe depends on the type of forces invoked; these colors are traditionally derived from their correspondence in qabalistic doctrine. Robes are the barrier between magicians and the forces they seek to master, as well as an announcement to these forces of their intent to accomplish the Great Work.
Year Zero by Ghost B.C. (2013)
Ghost B.C. is a Swedish heavy metal band that frequently uses the Illuminati ritual aesthetic. They perform in robes with their faces concealed via either paint or carnival robes, and their music has a dark Halloween feel to it. Surprisingly, they typically do not use any overt Illuminati imagery beyond this. Their 2013 music video for their song Year Zero is the exception to this rule.
The lyrics to the song contain numerous references that are commonly associated with Satan. As I have explained in the past, the influential Illuminati deity Baphomet is commonly associated with Satan by members of the Illuminati. The lyrics read:
Belial, Behemoth, Beelzebub, Asmodeus, Satanas, Lucifer…
…Hell Satan, Archangelo
Hell Satan, Welcome year zero
Hell Satan, Archangelo
Hell Satan, Welcome year zero
The sexual themes in this video further reinforce the aesthetic of the Illuminati ritual. It is implied that the man is going to have ritualistic sexual intercourse with all of the women, as evidenced by the way they all fawn over him before getting naked and changing into black robes with carnival masks.
The people in this video engage in less conventional forms of debauchery as well, such as eating raw meat/organs from an unspecified animal. Remember how Ross noted that Satanic rituals are reported to contain “ritual murder with cannibalism of the heart and other organs” (Ross, 1995).
Secret Societies of Hollywood by E! (2014)
I do not think that all of the secret societies described in this E! documentary are necessarily performing Illuminati rituals; instead they may just be a means of providing their members with illegal goods (i.e. drugs and prostitutes). However, one of the secret societies, SNCTM, openly admits to engaging in rituals that use the Illuminati aesthetic.
This video, taken from their official website, shows the members engaging in an orgy, possibly in a ritualistic manner. Most of the members are wearing carnival masks and some are wearing black hooded robes.
This image shows one of the members wearing a mask with bull horns. Potentially this is a reference to Baphomet, an occult symbol which represents, among other things, a state of spiritual enlightenment achieved during ritualistic sexual intercourse. But this is difficult to determine either way.
Esquire ran an article (Minton, 2016) on SNCTM and its founder, Damon Lawner, in October 2016. Among other things, this article confirmed that SNCTM has some Illuminati influences, one of which being that Lawner was directly inspired by Eyes Wide Shut when he created SNCTM:
Around this time, Lawner rented Eyes Wide Shut. In the film, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman play a long-established couple facing middle age and disillusionment; both are secretly questioning their commitment to monogamy…
…The movie struck a chord. Lawner was forty-two. He’d been with Melissa for more than fifteen years—a third of his life. He still loved her deeply, still wanted her every single day, but things hadn’t been good in their relationship for some time…And even though he fell asleep every night beside a gorgeous wife, he and Melissa had all but stopped having sex…
…In time, an idea took hold. Wouldn’t it be amazing if there were an answer for guys like him—for couples like them? Some kind of club, like in Kubrick’s movie, that was secret and exclusive, where a couple like DamonandMelissa could go? A place where the fire could be rekindled.
The Oculus Dei, the official symbol for SNCTM, has an occult significance that may not be obvious to general audiences. According to Esquire:
Tattooed on Lawner’s right shoulder is Snctm’s official symbol, a teardrop shape containing a cross and an all-seeing eye that Lawner calls the Oculus Dei. He drew it in a fit of inspired desperation one night in the living room of his small apartment after his family had gone to bed. The cross stands for faith. The eye stands for the Hindu chakra that leads to inner realms and higher consciousness. The tear was meant to stand for the earth’s life-giving elements.
Oculus Dei roughly translates into “God’s Eye” in Latin. This is a reference to one of the core tenants of the Illuminati religion which is that humans have untapped potential, that if properly harnessed, allows them to experience divinity via altered states of consciousness. One way of achieving these altered states of consciousness is by activating a series of energy centers, called “chakras,” that start in the groin and lead up to the brain through the spine. There are seven total chakras, with the most important being the crown chakra.
According to conventional Illuminati wisdom, the crown chakra is a gland located between both hemispheres of the brain (it is known in the scientific community as the pineal gland). The pineal gland induces divine states of consciousness by releasing dimethyltryptamine (DMT), a drug known to have hallucinogenic properties. This process of releasing DMT is known as a “kundalini awakening.”
The Illuminati also refer to the crown chakra as the “third eye.” During a kundalini awakening, humans experience states of consciousness that are not allowed by our standard senses. This is why they also refer to a kundalini awakening as opening up your “third eye.” Note that your third eye is not an eye in the traditional sense as it does not give you new perceptions of the external world, but rather of that which exists in your mind. Hence the third eye is commonly depicted as neither left nor right, but neutral.
There are several ways of opening up your third eye, but one of the most notable ways is by harnessing sexual energy. The Illuminati believe that humans release energy at the point of orgasm, which if properly channeled, can initiate a kundalini awakening. During a kundalini awakening, a bolt of magical energy originating in the base chakra travels through the spine, through the other chakras, and ends in the crown chakra, releasing DMT and initiating a divine state of consciousness.
The Illuminati call this process of harnessing sexual energy in this manner as “sex magick.” Note that magick is spelled with a “k” at the end to differentiate it from stage magic. This convention, which was originally set by Aleister Crowley, has gone on to become standard practice in occult literature. The Illuminati have written extensively on this subject over the years, developing many elaborate sex magick rituals in the process.
I do not know whether there is any scientific validity to the idea that the pineal gland releases DMT, or if it does, whether it is possible to force it to release DMT by harnessing sexual energy. The closest thing I know to a scientific investigation on this issue is the research conducted by Rick Strassman, M.D., who summarized his work in his 2000 book DMT: The Spirit Molecule: A Doctor’s Revolutionary Research into the Biology of Near-Death and Mystical Experiences (Strassman, 2000), wherein he administered DMT to his research subjects and confirmed that it is capable of reliably inducing altered states of consciousness which are religious in nature.
I will refer again to The Book of Secrets (Pineda, 2011), which partially validates that the Illuminati hold the beliefs I have just described. They explain the spiritual significance of chakras and third eye, along with the common symbolic representation of the third eye:
The first Chakra is the Muladhara (Root Chakra). Its color is red, and it is located at the base of the spine…
…The second Chakra is the Svadhisthana (Sacral Chakra). Its color is orange, and it is located in the sacrum and is responsible for the health of reproductive organs. It is the source of creativity and healthy sexual expression…
…The seventh and last of the major Chakras is the Sahasrara (Crown Chakra). It is either violet or bright white in color, and it is connected with the pineal gland, being located at the very top of the head or sometimes also depicted as just above it. It represents pure being and the light of consciousness itself, along with understanding, wisdom, and a mature spiritual viewpoint…
…The eye in the triangle, or the All-Seeing Eye, represents the omniscience of divinity…The eye is neither the right eye nor the left, but the Third Eye located in the center of the forehead, which grants aspirants the ability to see beyond the obvious.
Morrison’s article Pop Magic!, also offered some insight on how to use sexual energy for spiritual pursuits, in this case charging sigils (Metzger, 2014):
Now, most of us find it difficult at first to maintain the precise Zen-like concentration necessary to work large-scale magic. This concentration can be learned with time and effort but in the meantime, sigils make it easy to sidestep years of training and achieve instant success. To charge your sigil you must concentrate on its shape, and hold that form in your mind as you evacuate all other thoughts…
…Fasting, spinning, intense exhaustion, fear, sex, the fight-or-flight response; all will do the trick…All of these methods proved to be highly effective, but for the eager beginner nothing beats the WANK TECHNIQUE…
…At the white-hot instant of orgasm, consciousness blinks. Into this blink, this abyssal crack in perception, a sigil can be launched.
Also interesting is that Morrison explains how to create a sigil. He recommends starting by taking a word or phrase and removing all of the vowels. It is interesting because it appears that this is what SNCTM has done with their name (i.e. they have taken the word “Sanctum” and transformed it into “SNCTM” by removing the vowels):
The sigil takes a magical desire or intent-let’s say “IT IS MY DESIRE TO BE A GREAT ACTOR”…
…Being your desire’s transformation into pure throbbing symbol in the following fashion:
First remove the vowels and the repeating letters to leave a string of consonants-TSMYDRBGC.
It is difficult to prove either way whether SNCTM’s name is a sigil created in this manner, but it is interesting to note.
WHORE and Adrenalize by IN THIS MOMENT (2013)
These videos depict many of the elements of the Illuminati aesthetic: drugs, sex, violence, debauchery and masked people. Curiously, occult symbols are absent from these videos with the exception of vague references such as the word “hell.”
This man visiting what is presumably a brothel is given some type of substance to ingest twice during WHORE. It is unclear if it is blood, drugs or a combination of both.
WHORE features people wearing carnival masks in conjunction with an overall theme of sex and debauchery.
Adrenalize features more of the same, but first it is interesting to note that it depicts lead singer Marina Brink as being force fed what is presumably so type of drug while she is bound to a hospital bed.
The first one is just more of the same Illuminati aesthetic, while the 2nd and 3rd ones display occult symbols, most notably the pentagram which is defined in The Book of Secrets (Pineda, 2011):
The pentagram is a five-pointed star symbolic of humanity and the microcosm, literally meaning “the small order or world.” Made by drawing five straight lines, it contains the mathematical expression known as the Golden Ratio. It represents the entire spectrum and evolution of nature’s hidden workings from dense matter to subtle force, the five points standing for the Neo-Pythagorean elements of Fire, Water, Air, Earth, and Spirit. The pentagram is also called a pentalpha, the five points (pent) connecting the phases and densities of the alchemical first matter (alpha). It has been used a symbol (sic) for the five wounds of Jesus Christ, and therefore the stigmata. Used for protection against evil spirits by gaining command over them as well as invoking angelic powers, the pentagram is a recurring element in mystical-magical culture.
Love In The Old Days by Daddy (2013)
Daddy is a musical side project of actor James Franco. The music video for his most popular song “Love In The Old Days” depicts a wedding with the Illuminati aesthetic. Many of the wedding participants are semi nude and/or wearing masks, in addition to more subtle sexual overtones (the wedding takes place in a strip club). It is also interesting to note that the wedding officiant is Kenneth Anger, a man with a strong historical influence in both the film industry and occult circles. I do not have time to get into Anger’s background, but basic preliminary research will reveal that he has had this influence.
At this point it is getting tedious to show all of the images displaying the Illuminati aesthetic, so if you are interested in seeing it for yourself you can watch the video. That being said, there are a couple images that are worth pointing out.
Many people do not recognize Anger, but this is him acting as the officiant of the wedding ceremony.
This is a screen capture of some occult symbols that quickly flash during the song. I do not have the resources to explain the meaning behind all of them within the scope of this article, but it is worth mentioning that the 12 symbols on the outer circle are the 12 signs of the Zodiac, as described in The Book of Secrets (Pineda, 2011):
The zodiac, or circle of animals, is the circle of twelve constellations along the yearly path of the sun as it seems to traverse the sky. Each constellation was named after an animal or mythological creature according to its observed influence on earth.
The 12 Signs of the Zodiac
♈ Aires: The Ram
♉ Taurus: The Bull
♊ Gemini: The Twin
♋ Cancer: The Crab
♌ Leo: The Lion
♍ Virgo: The Virgin
♎ Libra: The Scales
♏ Scorpio: The Scorpion
♐ Sagittarius: The Centaur/Archer
♑ Capricorn: The Goatfish
♒ Aquarius: The Water Bearer
♓ Pisces: The Fish
Official Ritual by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn
This ritual by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn taken from their YouTube page is self explanatory as the ritual conforms to that of the Illuminati aesthetic. The Book of Secrets (Pineda, 2011) says the following about the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, an influential Illuminati society:
Founded in the late 19th century, the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn is a magical secret society that initiates and instructs its members in various methods of the mystic arts. Its extended membership included people who would later go on to found their own occult movements and organizations, such as Dion Fortune, A. E. Waite, Israel Regardie, Paul Foster Case, and Aleister Crowley…
…Today there are many offshoots of the Golden Dawn, primarily due to the publication of their rituals by Crowley, Regardie, and others. Among the subjects by the Order are astrology, divination, the Hermetic Qabalah, ceremonial magic, and geomancy.
Die Young by Ke$ha (2012)
Much like Eyes Wide Shut, Ke$ha’s 2012 song Die Young has already been discussed extensively within the conspiracy theory community ((Citizen, The Illuminati Symbolism of Ke$ha’s “Die Young” and How it Ridicules the Indoctrinated Masses, 2012).
This video begins by showing Ke$ha being paraded into an abandoned church while wearing a hooded veil, partially conforming the Illuminati aesthetic. Beyond that the rest of the video is self explanatory: it shows people partying in an orgiastic manner in the presence of occult symbols such as the third eye, eye in the triangle and pentagram.
This video also displays one occult symbol that I have not yet defined in this article. At one point Ke$ha is shown holding a Tarot card (specifically “The Devil” card, whose significance I have explained in greater detail in my article on Baphomet), of which The Book of Secrets (Pineda, 2011) says the following:
Ayin, The Devil, Capricorn
The synthesis and direction of these energies with intelligence seems to be the development of evil.
Note that above this passage, The Book of Secrets shows a picture of the same card Ke$ha holds up.
Diamond Hard by Kerli (2016)
The music video for this 2016 song by Estonian artist Kerli features an obvious Illuminati aesthetic. Kerli is also wearing a dress that has a pentagram incorporated within it.
This occult book shows a snake eating itself, also known as the Ouroboros, which was described in The Book of Secrets (Pineda, 2011):
The Ouroboros, Greek for “tail-devourer,” is a serpent or dragon that forms a circle by devouring its own tail. The origins of this symbol extend as far back as 4700 BC, found on human remains from that period. The philosopher Plato described it as the first living creature. The image of an Ouroboros brings to mind the perfect method and completion of the Great Work in economy and silence, known to the students of Cagliostro as the circle of necessity.
Can You Feel My Heart by Bring Me the Horizon (2013)
This video depicts a man being chased and eventually tortured by masked people wearing black hooded robes.
Bring Me the Horizon uses Illuminati symbolism elsewhere:
The image on the left for their 2010 album There is a Hell Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There is a Heaven Let’s Keep it a Secret features the Illuminati aesthetic. The image on the right for their 2013 album Sempiternal shows the flower of life, another common occult symbol. Unfortunately I do not have any references on hand that explain the meaning of the flower of life.
Both of these images, pulled from merchandise on their website (1, 2), feature a six pointed star known as the “unicursal hexagram.” This occult symbol is most commonly associated with Aleister Crowley’s religion “Thelema.”
Prototype by Viktoria Modesta (2014)
There is nothing particularly blatant about this video, except for the opening minute which shows Viktoria Modesta being drugged by people wearing hooded red robes. One of them is holding a knife and drain pan, presumably so that some of her blood can be drawn.
LA Devotee by Panic! at the Disco (2015)
This music video by American rock band Panic! at the Disco has already been covered extensively by the conspiracy theorist community (Citizen, Panic! At the Disco’s “LA Devotee” Clearly Celebrates Hollywood’s Satanic Mind Control System, 2016). In addition to borrowing the Illuminati aesthetic of hooded figures, it shows children being abducted and tortured in the presence of occult symbols, presumably for the purpose of making some kind of snuff film. There are also dead animals and a raw organ present (possibly a liver).
The Motherload by Mastodon (2014)
This music video does not have particularly strong Illuminati influences aside from the opening sequence which depicts hooded figures in robes, a Ouija board and subtle references to Adam being tempted by the apple in the Garden of Eden (juxtaposed with sexual images of women twerking):
Between God & The Devil: Mexico’s Land of Sorcerers by Vice (2015)
This investigative report by Vice shows self-proclaimed Satanists sacrificing animals in rituals that use the Illuminati aesthetic in conjunction with occult imagery.
Aleister Crowley’s magnum opus, Magick (Book 4) (Crowley, Magick (Book 4)), explains how to perform ritualistic animal sacrifices as seen in this investigation. Note that most copies of Magick (Book 4) are littered with footnotes from other authors. This passage is no exception, as it contains numerous footnotes that explain Crowley was not speaking literally when writing this passage. This is characteristic of the ambiguity that is present in occult literature:
However, there is a mystery concealed in this theory of the bloody sacrifice which is of great importance to the student, and we therefore make no further apology, We should not have made even this apology for an apology, had it not been for the solicitude of a pious young friend of great austerity of character who insisted that the part of this chapter which now follows — the part which was originally written — might cause us to be misunderstood. This must not be. The blood is the life. This simple statement is explained by the Hindus by saying that the blood is the principal vehicle of vital Prana…
…It would be unwise to condemn as irrational the practice of those savages who tear the heart and liver from an adversary, and devour them while yet warm. In any case it was the theory of the ancient Magicians, that any living being is a storehouse of energy varying in quantity according to the size and health of the animal, and in quality according to its mental and moral character. At the death of the animal this energy is liberated suddenly.
The animal should therefore be killed within the Circle, or the Triangle, as the case may be, so that its energy cannot escape. An animal should be selected whose nature accords with that of the ceremony — thus, by sacrificing a female lamb one would not obtain any appreciate quantity of the fierce energy useful to a Magician who was invoking Mars. In such a case a ram would be more suitable. And this ram should be virgin — the whole potential of its original total energy should not have been diminished in any way. For the highest spiritual working one must accordingly choose that victim which contains the greatest and purest force. A male child of perfect innocence and high intelligence is the most satisfactory and suitable victim.
For evocations it would be more convenient to place the blood of the victim in the Triangle — the idea being that the spirit might obtain from the blood this subtle but physical substance which was the quintessence of its life in such a manner as to enable it to take on a visible and tangible shape.
Those magicians who abject to the use of blood have endeavored to replace it with incense. For such a purpose the incense of Abramelin may be burnt in large quantities. Dittany of Crete is also a valuable medium. Both these incenses are very catholic in their nature, and suitable for almost any materialization.
But the bloody sacrifice, though more dangerous, is more efficacious; and for nearly all purposes human sacrifice is the best. The truly great Magician will be able to use his own blood, or possibly that of a disciple, and that without sacrificing the physical life irrevocably…
…The practical details of the Bloody Sacrifice may be studied in various ethnological manuals, but the general conclusions are summed up in Frazer’s “Golden Bough”, which is strongly recommended to the reader. Actual ceremonial details likewise may be left to experiment. The method of killing is practically uniform. The animal should be stabbed to the heart, or its throat severed, in either case by the knife. All other methods of killing are less efficacious; even in the case of Crucifixion death is given by stabbing.
One may remark that warm-blooded animals only are used as victims: with two principal exceptions. The first is the serpent, which is only used in a very special Ritual; the second the magical beetles of Liber Legis. (See Part IV.).
There is one remaining occult symbol from this video that needs to be defined, and that is the six-pointed star known as the hexagram (more commonly recognized as the Star of David), of which The Book of Secrets (Pineda, 2011) says the following:
The hexagram is a six-pointed star formed by two equilateral triangles. It symbolizes both the harmonization of masculine and feminine forces and the energies of the six planets that the ancients believed surrounded the sun. In many Hindu sects, this image is called the Sadkona Yantra, which, if mediated upon, leads to the unification and balance of Man and God. It is referred to in Freemasonry as the interlocking Deltas, the Greek letter Delta corresponding with love and union. In the qabalistic Tree of Life, the hexagram is placed in the sixth emanation of God, known as Tiphareth, or Beauty.
Admittedly this article is not up to the standards as typically seen in academia. It would benefit from better formatting, argument formation and a more thorough literature review. But this is the nature of alternative academia; I will never have the resources to match mainstream academia on this level. That being said, I do have the freedom to investigate issues that are off-limits in mainstream academia, in this case the Illuminati.
Either way, I hope that this article lays the groundwork for future discussions in an environment more professional than that typically seen in the internet conspiracy theory community.
